After 3 months of hard work, meaning… Shopping for Raw material for hours in hot summer, Hand grinding masalas, Cooking and pickling, taking orders manually, Hand packing them and finally delivering each and every order, all of it takes hours of physically tiring work and a 100 more jobs. It was a hectic cycle for us. Yes, we were sending out samples to many influencers and celebrities from the little profits we made, while doing every single work manually, We got a reply from Mr. Nagababu Konidela.
When we got a reply from Nagababu Garu, It was not any average reply, but, it was an invitation for me and Parth to meet him personally to exchange a small conversation. We were more than excited.
We were given a date and venue for this precious meet. The day arrived! We had less than 500 bucks in our pockets put together. As excited as we were for this meet, we were definitely under pressure, under dressed, and definitely broke. It did not matter we knew we were going to meet him. We went there, it was a very expensive coffee lounge. We were asked to wait for 10 mins and while we were waiting there was a group of guys in the next table, discussing about their new movie project worth 300 crores. and I whispered to Parth “ These guys are talking about 300 crores we got 300 bucks in our accounts lol”. We both chuckled and it was our turn to meet Nagababu Garu.
We entered the room, He greeted us with a bright smile. We sat opposite to him, Gave him our products and thanked him for the time and support he is offering. He asked us a couple questions like, Who makes the pickle?, How did you come up with this idea etc., We answered him and were ready to Thank him and leave the place. He then offered us chairs to sit next to him, We got up confused and shifted the chairs.
By then, His team was ready to record a video for us. Even before we knew what was happening, Nagababu Garu started speaking about us, Our business, Our struggle, Our growth, Success, innovation and his support for us and we were being recorded. We were AWESTRUCK by that.
In his own words: “ Moneca a Lawyer and Parth an Engineer, started this small pickles business in lockdown 1 and I am soo very happy to see your success. I wish you guys grow to greater heights doing International business as well. My support will always be there for you and everyone who is watching this video support this small business called Spicy Chicken Pickle. When youngsters like this come with innovative and creative ideas we should all support them”. Recording stopped and he congratulated us yet again for being soo adaptive to the pandemic and make a business work successfully. He then sent us the video told us we can use the video if it helps us.
We were still in SHOCK! We thanked him and took a leave ! We came out with a bright smile and satisfaction in our eyes.. You should have seen our faces!!!
The real reason behind our Happiness is not just because we got to meet Nagababu Garu, It was because He made us realise our hard work, our adaption to the world pandemic, our positivity and our small little success. We for the first time felt that we were doing something we love and are successful at the SAME TIME! For that we are soo very grateful to Mr. Nagababu Konidela garu.
WHAT ELSE COULD WE HAVE WISHED FOR?
But, We were invited by Mr. Nagababu garu yet again.... Lets keep that story for a whole another blog..
