Ever since the first week of starting Spicy Chicken Pickle we have been blessed with 70-80% of 5 star reviews each month. The only reason we get these kind of reviews is because of the star of our business 'OUR PRODUCT'. In this Blog we wanted to explain why our prices are the way they are and how is it related to the kind of reviews we get.
Firstly, It is the quality of ingredients that directly go into our pickles. Fresh Meat costs way higher compared to frozen meat that has been preserving from god knows when. From Chicken, Prawns & Mutton Meats cost anywhere from 220 - 900 INR / KG.
Secondly, The oils we use are freshly cold pressed oils. We take kachi ghani oils (Wood pressed oils), procure the best quality seeds that can produce very good quality oils that are good for health. by the suggestion of a renowned celebrity nutritionist we decided to combine few of the healthy cold pressed oils like Peanut, sesame, Canola & Olive oils. Prices ranging from 450 - 1200 INR / Litre.
We also procure the best Chillies, coriander seeds, star anise, turmeric, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, clove and 13 more spices from the farmers and get each individual spice sundried, cleant & handground in a Stone Mortar & Pestle. Which not only costs for the A grade spices but also the process, workers & transportation.
We then hand pack each Jar by hand not using any machinery that could potentially leave some machine oil smells or any contamination. We also pack them in a Eco - Friendly Glass Jars. Which needs much more effort and material like bubble wraps, corrugated boxes, tapes, prints etc., for safe packing and safe delivery.
Just here our production cost is as high as 70% due to the lengths we go for the quality of our product. Other than these direct costs we also have a small team of hard working women and men that we pay a very fair price compared to other manufacturing industries. We want the best for the people working with us and grow along with us.
Few of the customers ask us about why our pricing is higher than the meat pickles in the market. Let us tell u it is not because we are charging for brand value. It is the fair price for the kind of ingredients we use.
We personally order each meat pickles that come in the market for research purposes. Each time we tried a new one it either screamed unhealthiness with bad Palm oils or high sodium, or It tastes like the Mixed veg pickle or the Tangy Pickles that are found in every general store to supermarket. We absolutely did not find a one that tastes home made or unique to its taste and We understand these businesses are just trying to make huge profit margins by using cheap and unhealthy ingredients like everyone else is taught in the society to run a business.
It has only installed confidence in us regarding our product and without ever shaking our values we will always follow the quality over quantity advice that works magic in the long run. We believe so!
So, even with low profit margins we are very happy with the amount of reviews we get because we trust that our profits will grow when we will be able to reach to many customers in their nearest supermarkets. It is only a matter of time, Until then we will stick to the quality we are providing and enjoy all your precious reviews.
